- What does a visit cost?
- A $89 service call covers coming out and diagnosing the fault properly — gas pressure, ignition, sensors, boards, whatever the symptom points at. It comes off the bill in full once you approve the repair, and you get a firm price for parts and labour before anything is taken apart.
- How soon can somebody get here?
- The phone is answered around the clock and technicians are out 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days. A call placed in the morning usually gets an afternoon slot in Toluca Lake, Tarzana, Windsor Square or Beverly Grove; a range that has stopped mid-week ahead of guests gets moved up if we can.
- Will you work on an older red-knob Wolf range?
- Yes, and plenty of them are still in Los Angeles kitchens. Parts for the older gas ranges are thinner on the ground than for current models, so we check what is actually available for your serial number before promising a repair rather than after.
- Our hood turned out never to have been ducted anywhere. Is that a repair?
- Partly. We can prove where the duct actually ends, service the blower and filters, and set out what a real duct run would involve — but the run itself is building work, not appliance work. It comes up often in remodelled kitchens and in the low-rise blocks around Beverly Grove where several units share one shaft.
- Do you need the model number before you come out?
- It helps a great deal. The rating plate is usually on the frame behind the door or behind the lower kick panel — a photo of it is enough. With the model and serial in hand we can carry the parts that fail on that series instead of ordering them after the visit.
- Which parts of Los Angeles do you cover?
- Toluca Lake and the Toluca pocket, Tarzana up to the hillside streets, Windsor Square and Fremont Place, and Beverly Grove. Those four are the route; ask about an address just outside them and we will tell you honestly whether we can get there.
