The oven took a good four minutes to catch and you could smell gas the whole time. The glow bar had gone lazy. He read the current it was drawing, fitted a new one, and it lights straight off now.

The hood would only run at its slowest setting and the buttons had gone dead to the touch. Years of heat off the range had finished the membrane panel. He replaced it, and all four speeds work.
